Work description
- Contextualization and review of previously developed documentation regarding the device.
- Study of communication protocols and related open-source libraries.
- Development of software components for data integration and conversion.
- Execution of integration, interoperability, and functional validation tests.
- Support in the development of communication interfaces and auxiliary tools for monitoring and control.
Academic Qualifications
- Academic background in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum profile required
- Be enrolled in a higher education program in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
- Ability to use basic computer tools (spreadsheets, documents, web systems).
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python and/or C/C++.
- Communication and organizational skills.
Preference factors
- Interest in embedded systems programming.
- Practical knowledge or familiarity with programming languages such as Python and/or C/C++.
- Interest in automation systems, device integration, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, CAN, MQTT, etc.).
- Analytical and problem-solving skills in technical and multidisciplinary environments.
- Proactivity, autonomy, and willingness to learn new technologies in an R&D lab setting.
Maintenance stipend: € 651.12, according to the table of monthly maintenance stipend for FCT grants , paid via bank transfer. Grant holders may be awarded potential supplements, according to a quarterly evaluation process (Articles 19, 21 and 22 of the Regulations for Grants of INESC TEC and Annex II), up to a maximum limit of 50% of the monthly maintenance stipend.
INESC TEC supports costs with registration, enrolment or tuition fees, during the grant duration, under the terms established in the internal document: "Payment of Tuition fees to grant holders".
The grant holder will benefit from health insurance, supported by INESC TEC.
