The Department of lnformation and Communications Engineering is offering a summer job in the research group:
Developing Internet Traffic Measurement and Analysis Course
Internet Traffic Measurement and Analysis course (ELEC-E7130) is one of first courses where students are handed large, real-world size volumes of data (hundreds of gigabytes) to be work on. Based on the course feedback, there has been a steep learning curve to many to learn tools suitable for the purpose. Help them to avoid BDS! (Big Data Shock).
For the coming study year there will be brand new assignments utilizing Aalto nextG private 5G network as a measurement platform. Your task is to develop new, review old, course assignments, develop and/or find introductory material and study different tools (e.g. python, R), including cloud-based big data platforms that could be helpful for students.
Ideally, the applicant has taken the course, has experience of big data analysis, knows one's way around Linux and can create clear instructive texts, videos and other material. Most importantly, you can think outside of the existing boxes.
