The School of Engineering at Murray State University is seeking a talented faculty member to support the engineering physics program. Responsibilities include teaching courses in the support of the EAC/ABET-accredited engineering physics program with tracks in mechanical, electrical, and aerospace engineering or other classes as assigned. The development of a sustainable research and creative activity program involving undergraduate engineering students is critical. This faculty will be expected to develop student-centered teaching skills including the use of modern classroom and course management technologies. Engagement in EAC/ABET accreditation is required. Other responsibilities may include student academic and career advisement, and developing professional industry partners for internship and full-time career opportunities. Development and participation in student recruiting and retention activities are also important.
Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline is required. ABDs with a documented plan of completion by appointment date will be considered.
Applicants that have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam or a earned a doctorate from an engineering program that is approved by the Kentucky Board of Licensure and Surveyors are encouraged to apply. Work experience as an engineer or engineering teaching experience is preferred.
