Job Description
Stevens Institute of Technology is looking to hire a Research Assistant Professor to work in the Davidson Laboratory. The appropriate candidate must have a PhD in Coastal/Ocean Engineering. The appropriate candidate will have experience working on coastal hazards in relation to modeling storm surge and flooding and/or marine energy. Desired qualifications include:
· A record of previous peer-reviewed publications
· Documented teaching experience
· Background in mentoring doctoral students
Additional requirements dictated by the funding source include:
· Experience with writing proposals as PI or Co-PI
· Experience with Linux operating systems and High-Performance Computers
· Experience with Azure cloud computing
· Experience with hydrodynamics circulation models
· Experience with data-driven modeling techniques including machine learning, e.g. PINNS
· Knowledge of coding languages, e.g. Python, MATLAB, bash, R
· Knowledge of computer vision models
