Using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to model water and wastewater treatment processes where macro-and micro-scale mixing plays an important role in process performance. Pilot -scale and full-scale facilities will be used to evaluate and enhance model performance. The goal of this research is to develop a tool that will help engineers optimize designs and evaluate water and wastewater treatment processes.
