Dr. Braun’s research is focused on understanding Earth systems, their interactions, by using geophysical observations from satellites, airborne and terrestrial platforms. The most recent research projects deal with monitoring multi-scale changes of mountain glaciers and ice sheets from satellite altimetry; magnetometry of Amerindian settlements on Antigua; Arctic change; and the fusion of LiDAR and other elevation observations for the generation of dynamic Digital Elevation Models. My research lab uses a linux cluster with a Hadoop file system and includes some of the best 4-D visualization systems available.
