Expertise: Settlement and volume change behaviour of saturated and unsaturated soil, design and analysis of embankment dams, Analysis of tunnels and deep excavation, ground improvement using smart material concept for specific repair and remediation works.

I am involved currently with project pertaining to repair and remediation of defected subgrades and subsoil conditions in collaboration with industries (JKR, PLUS, MTD, IKRAM) and leading a research team for ground remediation using polyurethane (PU) foam.

I am also involved in complex settlement problems currently experience in Malaysia and promoting the mechanics of unsaturated soils with leading expert Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Jamaludin Md Noor regarding to shear strength and volume change behaviour of saturated and unsaturated soils.
