  • Prof. Hussain's research interest is to strive for energy efficient smart living and sustainable future by homo and heterogeneous integration of advanced nano-materials using state-of-the-art CMOS compatible (batch fabrication at an affordable price) in-house micro and nano-fabrication processes to build and study advanced micro and nano-scale devices for: • Silicon, SiGe and III-V nanotube and wavy channel FET, tunneling FET and thin film transistors (TFT) for high performance computation with longer battery lifetime and area efficiency for enhanced functionality;• Cost effective generic batch process for transformational electronics to convert conventional high performance electronics on bulk silicon (100) into flexible, transparent, stretchable inorganic electronics;• Nanotechnology enabled thermoelectric windows for mass scale clean energy harvesting;• Amorphous metal based ultra-low power micro and nanoelectromechanical switches/systems (M/NEMS).
