Nanomaterials can be viewed as “pseudo” biological entities with useful physical properties. The key to unlocking their potential in biology lies in their nano-biointerface as it is what the actual biological entities see. I am interested to explore how we can teach nanomaterials to communicate with cells (nanobiology) so as to harness their physical properties to effectively probe and modulate biological processes in nanobiotechnology. The goal of my research is to translate these strategies into clinically viable solutions in nanomedicine
