•Neural and Stem Cell Tissue Engineering: To develop surfaces to (i) engineer patterned co-cultures of neurons and other cell types (ii) differentiate adult neural stem cells (NSCs) using a combination of physical, chemical and biological cues at the cellular level.
•Nano-scale Drug Delivery System for Gene Therapy: To develop novel drug and vaccine delivery systems, which provide spatial and temporal regulation of drug signaling or stem cell growth and differentiation from the targets identified above.
•Novel Thin Films for Sensor Applications: To develop microarrays of biomaterials for high throughput screening as biosensors.
