Dr. Jamal Al-Qawasmi is Assistant Professor of Architecture at the Department of Architecture, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. Al-Qawasmi obtained a B.Sc. in Architecture in 1987, Msc Arch 1993, followed by a PhD in architecture in 1999 from Texas A&M. Since 1993 he has been involved in teaching architecture and design computing in several universities. He also involved heavily in research and consultation. His academic experience includes teaching courses on Design Computing, Design methods, Theories of Architecture, Applications of IT in Design, and various types of Design Studios. His professional experience includes designing and consultancy for several private and public agencies. He is regularly attending international conferences and is member in several regional and international scientific and professional organizations such as ACADIA, eCAADe, ASCAAD.
