Professor Saud Aldajah is a profound expert in the areas of advanced materials, tribology and nanotechnology. His work has led to various patent applications in carbon nanotube production and nanocomposites. Prof. Aldajah graduated from Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) with a PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2003. \r\nProf. Aldajah’s extensive industrial experience background started in 1994 at the Jordan refinery Company as a Maintenance Engineer, his duties included providing technical support for reliability of fixed and rotary equipment (piping, pumps, pressure vessels, exchangers, heaters, tanks, etc), providing technical review and recommendations on life cycle management of equipment including inspection, maintenance, repair, and replacement plans. Furthermore, he participated in root cause analysis of equipment failures and provided hands-on solutions and maintenance of mechanical and related equipment problems using design codes, such as ASME, API, ANSI, and ASTM. In 2000, Prof. Saud engagement with the USA industry was through the development of tribology solutions for rotating and sliding contact equipment, he was engaged in projects with General Motors, Detroit Diesel Company, Tranergy, Timkens, Canadian Railroad Research Center, Department of Energy and Department of Defense. In 2015 Prof Aldajah was given the role of Program Chair at Abu Dhabi Polytechnic, he worked with ADNOC, ADWEA, EGA, Mubadala, Tawazun and many other UAE industries to develop twelve engineering qualifications based on the UAE industrial job profiles and in accordance to the UAE framework. The twelve Qualifications were endorsed by the National Qualification Center (NQC). In 2019, Pof. Aldajah joined the Higher Colleges of Technology as the Executive Dean of Engineering. He transformed 13 different programs into Applied Engineering programs aligned with MOHRE job profiles. He introduced practical workshop, in house training and a 4 month long work placement in the newly revamped curriculum. Furthermore, he developed five new Engineering qualifications based on the local industry requirements (Railroad Engineering Technology, Fire Fighting and Safety Engineering, Food Security Engineering Technology, Airport Management Technology and Artificial Intellegence technology).\r\nProf. Aldajah\'s research work has led to more than 70 publications. He has licensed three patents in the area of Carbon Nanotube development. Prof. Saud served on the editorial board for more than a dozen international journals.
