  • Combustion: Heat & mass transfer, fluid dynamics and kinetics of combustion processes in novel, low-emissions combustors for different fuels, with focus on pulverized coal. Development of the radiatively-conductively stabilized combustor. Energy conversion: Development and analysis of novel high-efficiency low pollution power generation system, using fossil, renewable, and nuclear energy. Fuel cells. Solar heating and cooling. Energy storage. Exergy analysis. Water desalination and flash evaporation: Heat & mass transfer, fluid dynamics and evaporation analysis for the improvement of existing water desalination processes, and for the development of novel ones.
