Expertise: I believe quality research stems from aiming to solve complex problems for the benefit of society. These problems are often inter-disciplinary and require collaboration across multiple fields of study. My main research area is in geotechnical earthquake engineering but I am also interested in engineering education, rehabilitation of dams and levees, soil structure interaction and efficient residential home energy design.
