Fateh’s main research areas involve system modeling, linear and nonlinear control of electro-mechanical systems, torsional vibration mitigation, and control education. In the past five years, her research focus has been on modeling and control of both DFIG-based and PMG-based wind turbine systems. In her work on the maximum power capturing and vibration mitigations for wind turbine systems, she has extensively used National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL)’s Fatigue, Aerodynamics, Structures and Turbulence (FAST) Code. She is a member of PEAS research group at KSU and interested in modeling and control of dynamical phenomena in mobile systems.
