Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering (Computer Engineering Technology/Electronics)

The Electrical Engineering Department at California State University, Long Beach invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. While outstanding candidates from all areas of Electrical and Computer Engineering will be considered, candidates with research interests in the application of AI and Machine Learning in areas of Computer Engineering Technology and Electronics are especially encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a closely related field. Degree at the time of application or official notification of completion of the doctoral degree by August 1, 2025.
- Specialization in the area of Computer Engineering Technology, Electronics or related fields with focus on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
- Demonstrated potential for effective teaching at the college level
- Record of or demonstrated potential for successful research and scholarly activity
- Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population, including Black/African American, Latine/x, Native American/Indigenous, low-income, first-generation, and minoritized students
