Project overview: - Study and development of an artificial vision system for the classification of textile fibers. - Study and development of an
artificial vision system for detecting color, texture and the presence of accessories in/on garments. - Implementation and testing of selected
methods in laboratory and industrial prototypes. - Implementation of robotic system/separation automation protocols.
Objectives: Implementation of an artificial vision system for classifying and separating garments by type of fiber, color and texture.
Implementation of laboratory prototype for detection of accessories in garments.
Academic Qualifications: Master's Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Informatics Engineering and related areas
Minimum profile required: Proven experience in developing computer vision algorithms for Automation and/or Robotics applications,
namely using the OpenCV and TensorFLow software library. Experience in ROS framework (1 and 2).
Experience in the following programming languages: C, C++ and Python
Preference factors: Previous experience in applying AI algorithms to robotic systems.
Funding Entity: BE@T funded by SGA with reference 1 Co-financed by Component 12 - Promotion of Sustainable
Bioeconomy, integrated in the Climate Transition Dimension of the Recovery and Resilience Plan within the
scope of the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism (MRR) of the European Union (EU), framed in the Next
Generation EU, for the period 2021 - 2026.
Type of contract: Uncertain term contract
