About the Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains

Established in 2022 as a new office under the Office of the Under Secretary for Infrastructure, the Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chain (MESC) office serves as the frontline of clean energy capital deployment, accelerating America’s transition to a resilient, equitable energy future through $20 billion of direct investments in manufacturing capacity and workforce development. MESC develops and provides the analytical tools that help to inform programs and investments across DOE and the U.S. Government.

 

What will I be doing?

The Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains (MESC) seeks one (1) talented and committed individual who will learn and engage in the following:

  • Conduct analysis related to the impact of federal manufacturing tax credits, including through collaboration with National Lab contractors and experts across the Department.
  • Brief Department of Energy and interagency stakeholders on technical analysis.
  • Engage with private-sector companies, other Federal agencies, and key stakeholders to collect, analyze, respond to, and share data about energy supply chains to inform future decision making and investments.
