Applications are invited from qualified candidates for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, a joint campus between Indiana University and Purdue University. Areas of research include, but not limited to, design of therapeutically relevant biomaterials, synthesis of functional hydrogel scaffolds, developmental biology and stem cell differentiation, drug and cell delivery for regenerative medicine applications and cancer models. The associate will collaborate actively with Indiana University School of Medicine.
Candidates should hold a Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering, Materials Sciences and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Cell & Molecular Biology, or related fields. Strong background in cell and molecular biology, biological chemistry, polymeric biomaterials, and/or in vivo animal models are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates should have excellent oral and written communication skills and have experience/interests on mentoring graduate and undergraduate students.
