The Heat Transfer Laboratory at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville has multiple PhD position openings in the field of thermal management for energy science and engineering (https://mabe.utk.edu/people/prashant-singh-2/). The positions are set to start from Fall 2025 semester.  

The position involves research in the area of multi-phase flow and thermal transport in additively manufactured cellular materials, with applications in solar energy engineering, building technologies, high temperature heat exchangers, HVAC, electronics cooling.

Candidates with background in experimental/computational research in heat transfer and fluid mechanics are encouraged to apply. Prior experience in the design of experiments, data acquisition, LabVIEW, open-source CFD solvers, is preferred.
