The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.
The Research Fellow will work on a project to conduct the research on developing ultrasonic based non-destructive evaluation methods.
Key Responsibilities:

Design ultrasonic experiments
-
Process the results with advanced signal processing techniques
-
Participate in the design and testing of electronic board for ultrasonic applications

Perform finite element simulations in ultrasonic wave propagation in solids
-
To work with PhD and other research staff to solve different measurement problems

Drafting and submission of technical progress reports at regular intervals
-
Presenting of research progress and latest findings at regular intervals
Job Requirements:

A PhD degree related to Mechanical, Electrical Engineering Or Civil Engineering

Strong experimental skills, including design, measurement, and data processing
-
Strong programming skills (Matlab, C++ or Python)

Good knowledge in electronics design and testing

Good knowledge of wave propagation

Excellent English writing and communication skills
-
Knowledge in material characterization, finite element modelling, ultrasonic array and ultrasonic guided waves will be an advantage
