We are seeking a full-time Departmental Lecturer in Engineering Biology (Control Engineering) to join the Control Engineering Group based in Central Oxford.  The post is fixed term for 3 years.

 

The post holder will engage in advanced study and academic research, lecture and teach graduate students on the new Centre for Doctoral Training in Engineering Biology (EngBioCDT), and contribute to the teaching, research, and academic administration of the course and the Department of Engineering Science. They will lead an independent research group within the broad scope of Engineering Biology and Control Engineering or AI, sponsored by research councils or industry, and are expected to liaise with industrial partners as part of EngBioCDT.

 

Candidates should hold a relevant PhD, with post-qualification research experience in Engineering Biology with Control Engineering or AI. Candidates will have an aptitude for teaching and demonstrable experience of supervision of masters and doctoral students, and the ability to supervise research assistants.  They may also have experience of contribution to writing proposals and obtaining research grants.
