Research Opportunities

Design and evaluation of production systems

 

Work description

  • Introduction to the research, context and specific objectives;
  • Review of the state of the art and identification of the main research gaps and SW solutions;
  • Characterisation of the problem to be addressed;
  • Design and development of a software tool capable of complementing a framework for the evaluation and design of manufacturing systems (with existing methodology), cross-referencing product and process characteristics;
  • Testing and development of demonstration prototypes.
  • Writing the grant activity report.

 

Academic Qualifications

Master's degree student in computer engineering or related field;

 

Minimum profile required

Average grade in computer engineering or equivalent equal to or higher than 14.

 

Preference factors

  • Experience in software development (front-end and back-end).
  • In-depth knowledge of the python programming language and software architectures.
  • Team spirit, leadership and autonomy.

 

Maintenance stipend: € 601,12, according to the table of monthly maintenance stipend for FCT grants , paid via bank transfer. Grant holders may be awarded potential supplements, according to a quarterly evaluation process (Articles 19, 21 and 22 of the Regulations for Grants of INESC TEC and Annex II), up to a maximum limit of 50% of the monthly maintenance stipend.

INESC TEC supports costs with registration, enrolment or tuition fees, during the grant duration, under the terms established in the internal document: "Payment of Tuition fees to grant holders".

 

The grant holder will benefit from health insurance, supported by INESC TEC.
