Assistant Professor of Construction Management
The University of Tennessee at Martin, Department of Engineering is seeking an Assistant Professor of Construction Management to join our dynamic team in Fall 2025 as a tenure-track full-time faculty. A Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or any closely related field from a U.S. accredited institution is preferred. Candidates who hold a master's degree in construction management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or any closely related field and have experience in the construction industry, as well as those who are currently pursuing a Ph.D., are also invited to apply.
These applicants must provide proof of completion of at least 18 credit hours of graduate-level courses in any of these areas. Candidate will be teaching in accordance the ACCE Construction Management curriculum to meet their compliance requirements. Candidate shall show willingness to teach undergraduate courses in Construction Management, including Construction Graphics, AutoCAD, Statics, Strength of Materials, Structural Analysis, Revit, Timber, Concrete & Steel Design and Lab. Additional courses that the candidate will teach include Introduction to Construction Management, Construction Documents, Construction Law and Contracts, Construction Technology, Construction Equipment, Principles of Sustainable Construction,Construction Scheduling, Construction Safety, Construction Estimating, Construction Methods, and Senior Capstone.
