The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Riverside has a need for part-time or full-time Lecturers beginning the Winter Quarter for the 2022/2023 academic year to teach courses in the Mechanical Engineering curriculum, including but not limited to statics, dynamics, numerical methods, engineering analysis, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, mechanics of materials, experimental techniques, senior design, and others.
Qualifications include a Ph.D. or M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, prior teaching experience is preferred. The beginning annual salary will be $76,813.00.
- Salary for the winter quarter appointment begins January 1, 2023, and ends March 31, 2023; the academic service period for winter is January 4, 2023, through March 24, 2023.
- Salary for Spring quarter appointment begins April 1, 2023, and ends June 30, 2023; the academic service period for the spring quarter begins March 29, 2023, and ends June 16, 2023.
Lecturer appointments are eligible for renewal depending on need, funding, and performance.
