We are currently looking for candidates for an industry-based, Mitacs funded research project as part of the MSc in Sustainable Design Engineering at UPEI. The selected student will have the opportunity to complete hands on research regarding Direct Metal Laser Sintering fabrication in an industrial setting, as well use of UPEI’s EOS M100. The student will also gain experience in design for additive manufacturing, materials science and process optimization. As this is a Mitacs Accelerate funded position, the student will also have the opportunity to spend 4 months on site with the industrial partner. Applicants should have a demonstrated interest in materials science, and preferably some experience in fabrication and / or engineering design.
