We are looking for a post-doctoral fellow to work in the area of plasma torch diagnostics and high-temperature material-response. For this position we require excellent experimental skills and experience with conventional and optical flow diagnostics. The successful candidate will work with the UT Austin 50 kW inductively-coupled plasma torch. Ongoing work in the plasma torch includes emission spectroscopy, laser-induced fluorescence, spontaneous Raman scattering, and coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy (CARS). Experience with plasma diagnostics is desirable, but not required.  

Qualifications:

• PhD in Engineering, Physics or Chemistry
• Experience with experimental gas dynamics and optical diagnostics
