Position Summary

The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) at the University at Buffalo (UB) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor rank in human factors engineering, starting in August 2025.

The successful applicant will:
  • Have a strong record of research in physical ergonomics, wearable work technologies, and automated/personalized ergonomic solutions.
  • Develop and maintain an active research program in occupational safety and health, teach and mentor students at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and participate in university and professional service.

Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must hold a doctorate in industrial engineering, systems engineering, or a closely related field. PhD must be conferred or all requirements for conferral met before the appointment date.
