Position Number: 330582

The School of Science and Engineering is currently expanding its engineering offerings to include environmental, general, systems, and mechanical engineering, in addition to its ABET accredited biomedical engineering program. We are currently seeking a full-time faculty member for a 9-month, tenure-track, position in the area of mechanical engineering with a flexible start date beginning no later than August 2024. The mechanical engineering program is new at Duquesne and hires will have a unique opportunity to build the program. All levels of faculty will be considered.

Qualifications

Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related discipline

Ability and commitment to pursue an independent and externally funded research agenda

Demonstrated ability to teach and provide supportive mentorship to students at the undergraduate level
