A postdoctoral openings is available immediately at the Biomedical Optics and Ophthalmic Imaging Laboratory. In collaboration with experienced ophthalmologists and vision scientists, our ongoing research includes ultra-wide field fundus photography, functional optical coherence tomography (OCT), super-resolution ophthalmoscopy, machine learning based retinal image analysis and eye disease classification (https://yaolab.bioe.uic.edu/). 

The postdoctoral fellow will be involved in optical instrument development and retinal imaging study. The selected candidates will have excellent opportunities to interact with researchers in Engineering, Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences for a multidisciplinary training. 

The postdoctoral candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics or a related discipline. Experience with optical design and construction is essential. Proficiency in Labview and Matlab programming is expected. Hand-on experience in retinal imaging study is desirable.
