Assistant/Associate Professor, Computational Science and Engineering
Primary Purpose of Position
The Department of Computational Science and Engineering (CSE) at North Carolina A & T State University invites applications with emphasis on data sciences, visualization, modeling, and optimization of large and complex systems. The successful candidate shall possess a passion for teaching, solid publication record and demonstrate potential for attracting external research funding, as well as the ability to interface their research with the department's existing strengths in big data, high-performance computing, visualization, and interdisciplinary research in complex systems arising in a variety of fields including biology, smart-city transportation, geo-systems remote sensing, signals and systems, and e-commerce.
The primary responsibilities for this position include teaching graduate level courses, conducting independent and cutting-edge research, generating extramural funding, student advising, curriculum development and providing service to the Department, College, and University, and other activities required for a successful academic career.

Ph.D. in Computational Science and Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a relevant field from an accredited program by the anticipated date of appointment.
Preferred Years of Experience, Skills, Training, Education
Strong candidates shall have a passion for teaching, learning and student development; and a strong commitment to promoting and enhancing inclusiveness, collaboration and diversity. Candidates with post-doctoral or relevant work experience are preferred.
