Faculty Position in Computer Engineering F03956-2022-230

We invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position in computer engineering at the assistant professor level in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, commencing Jan. 1, 2025 or earliest thereafter. Expertise in digital hardware and VLSI design, embedded systems, computer architecture or related areas will be given priority, although other areas in computer engineering will also be considered. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and an earned doctorate in computer engineering, computer science or a related discipline. The position is subject to budgetary approval.

The successful candidate will participate in the academic programs of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, including teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, developing laboratories, supervising graduate students, and other educational, scholarly and professional activities. The successful candidate will be expected to seek out and secure research funding, build an effective research program, and, as appropriate, collaborate with partners in industry, government, and academia. An ability to teach a broad range of computer engineering courses is an asset. The successful candidate is expected to register with the Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador (PEGNL) as either a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or a Professional Member in the Practice of Engineering — Limited Scope (Eng.L.).
