The Department of Macromolecular Science and Engineering of Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland, Ohio) announces the availability of a postdoctoral research opening in the area of polymer recycling through vitrimerization. This position is open to individuals who hold a Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science and Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, etc.) and is expected to be initially a 12-month appointment.
Candidates who have an established research record in areas relevant to thermoset recycling, vitrimer chemistry, dynamic crosslinking are encouraged to apply. The specific goals of the project are to design a strategy employing the associative dynamic bonding concept in transforming glass-filled epoxy and polyester composite systems into dynamic recyclable systems, while maintaining reasonable mechanical properties.
Further inquiries and application materials (curriculum vitae, descriptions of research interests, and a list of references) should be sent electronically to Professor Ica Manas-Zloczower, Department of Macromolecular Science and Engineering, Case Western Reserve University, at (ixm@case.edu)
