The College of Engineering and Computer Science invites applications for tenured or tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, with expertise in areas such as legged locomotion, manipulation and grasping, soft robotics, medical robotics, sensing, actuation and control, swarm robotics, cooperative robot behavior, humanoids, and social robotics. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research at the newly established University of Tulsa Institute for Robotics and Autonomy, a multimillion dollar federally funded center focused on assistive robotics and biomechanics research to support aging in place. Faculty members are expected to teach, develop a strong, externally funded research program, teach and mentor graduate and undergraduate students, and contribute to the department’s academic and service missions. Excellence in written and verbal communication is essential.

The applicant selected will be seated in one of the College departments that is determined to be the best match in terms of teaching and research interests, or a partial appointment in more than one, in consultation with the Dean of the College.
