The Department of Biomedical Engineering at Florida International University is currently seeking a full-time, non-tenure, Research Professor or Postdoctoral Fellow within the Vascular Physiology and Biotransport Laboratory. Research in the laboratory focuses on biological systems modeling with emphasis on blood flow regulation. He/She will work on an NIH-funded project on neurovascular coupling and the regulation of cerebral blood flow in health and in brain disorders. Qualifications include a Ph.D. in chemical/biomedical engineering or a related field and training in mathematical modeling, high performance computing or transport phenomena. Prior experience in physiological systems modeling including in cell signaling and calcium/membrane potential dynamics, biomechanics or fluid dynamics is preferred but not required.
