The micro/nano fluidics lab at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, seeks a postdoctoral fellow to assist in developing Argonaute endonuclease – based assays to detect rare alleles assocaited with cancer and other conditions and isothermal molecular diagnostic assays to detect human, animal, and plant pathogens and implement these assays in point of need devices. The postdoctoral fellow must have a PhD in microbiology, engineering, biotechnology, or equivalent and be experienced in primer and probe design.
