The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering is seeking a highly self-motivated Research Associate. The position is in civil engineering and will focus on AI technologies for intelligent underground infrastructure modeling and monitoring. The earliest starting date for the position will be Sep 2024.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop efficient machine learning algorithms for fault diagnosis and prognosis.

Assist both numerical, lab and field tests of tunnel inspection.

Publish several papers in top journals.

Write proposals for further development.

Job Requirements:

A Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Extensive experience in structural analysis or machine learning.

Excellent skills for data analytics.

Good oral and written communication skills in English - essential for data analysis and communication with stakeholders

A good record of referred journal publications or conference presentations is a plus
