The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Howard University invites applications for one tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in Computer Science to start August 16, 2020. Applicants for this position will be located on Howard University’s main campus located in Washington, DC.
Applicants must have an earned Ph.D. degree in computer science, information technology or closely related technical disciplines. Additionally, applicants for this position must demonstrate the following abilities and professional interests: i) ability to pursue an independent research program, ii) ability to initiate and conduct research across the disciplines of the College of Engineering and Architecture, and the University, iii) strong commitment to educate students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and iv) ability to mentor graduate students at both the masters and doctoral level. Finally, duties will also include service to the department, college, and university so that the University’s mission is realized.
