Molecular Ultrasound – Yoon Research Group
University of Notre Dame
Postdoctoral Associate 1, Synthetic Biology for Ultrasound Contrast Agents
A short-term goal of this project is to develop genetically encoded ultrasound contrast agents for deep tissue ultrasound imaging. The research goal of this project is to engineer mammalian cells to express ultrasound contrast agents for early detection of cancer.
Experience with genome engineering, molecular cloning and design, and systems biology for the production of gene circuits and their screening using E. coli and other strain of bacteria is preferred.
Postdoctoral Associate 2, Developing Algorithm for Super-resolution Ultrasound Imaging
An algorithm to improve localization and tracking of nanometer-sized contrast agents in vitro and in vivo with tumor biologist. The research goal is to engineer transmit and receiving beamforming using diverse ultrasound systems to improve image quality for tumor monitoring in vivo.
Experience with deep learning, computer programming using Matlab, python, and/or labview, beamforming of RF signal of linear array transducers, and ultrasound imaging platform is preferred.
A Ph.D. in an engineering field is required. Both positions will have a close interaction with other labs. Please visit https://www.molecularultrasound.com/ if you need more information.
Please send your CV, a brief statement of your research interests, and the contact information of at least one reference to Prof. Sangpil Yoon at syoon4@nd.edu
