Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Position in the Broad Area of Signal Processing and Communications
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California at Santa Barbara is accepting applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the broad area of signal processing and communications, with an effective appointment date of July 1, 2020. The Department has particular (non-exclusive) interest in applicants with a depth of expertise in data science, machine learning, and related fields, along with broader interests and the ability to collaborate with faculty across disciplines.
Candidates should have an established research reputation or outstanding research potential, the ability to attract external research funding, and a strong commitment to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and service.
At a minimum, applicants must have completed all requirements for a PhD (or equivalent) in Electrical and Computer Engineering or a closely related field except the dissertation at the time of application. Applicants must have a PhD by the time of appointment.
