The Computational Electromagnetics Group (https://cemse.kaust.edu.sa/cem) at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (https://www.kaust.edu.sa/en) invites applications for multiple Graduate Student Fellowship Positions in the broad areas of mathematical modeling, numerical methods, electromagnetics, computational electromagnetics, and computational physics.
The applicant must have completed a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, Computational Sciences and Engineering, or a related discipline, with a capacity for graduate-level research proven by a strong GPA and (possibly) undergraduate research record. Good mathematical and analytical thinking skills and knowledge of undergraduate level electromagnetics, photonics, and/or optics are desirable. Good programming and technical writing skills are a plus.
Duties: The successful applicant will be involved in producing and publishing research results.
Affiliation: The graduate research assistant will be studying toward his/her PhD degree in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Program (ECE) within the Division of Computer, Electrical, Mathematical Sciences and Engineering (CEMSE) at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) (http://www.kaust.edu.sa).
Location: KAUST campus is located in Thuwal (80 km north of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia). The campus includes a seaside town with housing, shops, schools, and numerous recreational amenities.
Stipend and Benefits: The stipend is very competitive and tax free. In addition, the appointment includes fully paid tuition, fully furnished accommodation (including utilities), and medical and dental insurance.
