The vision of the College of Engineering and Science at Louisiana Tech University is to be a world leader in integrating engineering and science in education and research. The Industrial Engineering Program invites applications for tenure-track faculty at all professional ranks (Assistant, Associate and Full Professor). Applicants must hold a doctorate in Industrial Engineering or a related field; applicants who are pursuing their doctorate are welcome to apply as long as the degree is completed by September 1, 2020. Successful candidates are expected to actively participate in multidisciplinary research efforts in the College; initiate, build and sustain an externally funded research program; and supervise masters and doctoral students. Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong teaching skills, and a commitment to high-quality professional service and participation in College responsibilities are expected. The College is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute, through their research, teaching and/or service, to the diversity and excellence of the academic community. Research activity may be leveraged through one of the College’s multidisciplinary centers of excellence by focusing on intelligent manufacturing systems, big data analytics, information assurance, neural networks, bioinformatics, health care systems, additive manufacturing, engineering education, micromanufacturing, nanotechnology, cybersecurity, and trenchless technology.
