THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH ALABAMA COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING invites applications for the position of Systems Engineering Program Coordinator at the rank of Professor or Associate Professor (tenure track or non-tenure track), depending upon qualifications, beginning August 15, 2023. Responsibilities include management of the Systems Engineering program, teaching courses at the undergraduate or graduate level and research in their field. The successful candidate will also be involved in advising graduate students, service and outreach activities, and actively participating in continuing efforts to improve the college's educational mission. Minimum Qualifications: PhD in Engineering or a closely related discipline and relevant systems engineering experience. Preferred Qualifications: One or more degrees in Systems Engineering, a strong research and publishing record, an entrepreneurial attitude, relevant industrial or military experience and a record of successful teaching at the college level. The College has ABET accredited undergraduate programs in chemical, civil, computer, electrical and mechanical engineering as well as master's degree programs in each department. The College of Engineering has a master’s and doctoral program in Systems Engineering, an interdisciplinary PhD degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, and also partners with the College of Medicine to offer a Biomedical Engineering track in the Basic Medical Sciences doctoral program.
