Assistant/Associate/Professor Positions in Electrical and Computer Engineering
The University of Missouri (MU) College of Engineering Department of EECS invites nominations and applications for multiple Assistant/Associate/Professor positions in electrical and computer engineering starting Fall 2020. The rank will be based on experience level and the background of the applicant. The home department is in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, however, joint appointments in other colleges or schools on campus are expected
Responsibilities: The EECS department is seeking dynamic individual(s) who will provide vision, leadership and guidance in the area of electrical and computer engineering. The faculty member will develop a national and international research world class program. The electrical and computer engineering fields of interest include power electronics, power systems, microelectronics, sensors, photonics and high-power lasers, applied electromagnetics, computer architecture, RF design and antennas, terahertz imaging, quantum electronics or a closely related technology. The faculty member will work closely with multiple departments or groups to grow their research area. The College of Engineering is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute, through their research teaching, and/or service, to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
Required Qualifications: Minimum qualifications require a Ph.D. in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or a closely associated field; with a preference for applicants having graduated from an ABET accredited program. The candidate will provide effective leadership, management and communication with faculty, staff, and students as well as other leaders in electrical and computer engineering or their research areas, and technology. The candidate will be able to seek and obtain external funding. Responsibilities include: developing new courses in the applicant’s area of specialization, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in electrical and computer engineering, developing an externally funded research program, and active involvement in service to the university and the profession. The successful candidate will provide vision, leadership and guidance in the area of electrical and computer engineering and work closely with multiple departments or groups to grow their research areas and develop world class research programs.
Salary: Salary commensurate with education and experience.
