The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering invites applications for tenure-track or tenured position at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor levels to begin in August 2020 in the area of Transportation Engineering. Emphasis will be placed on the following areas:
Transportation Engineering: Highway Design, Traffic Operations and Safety, Traffic Engineering Studies, Intelligent Transportation Systems, Traffic Modeling and Simulation, Crash Data Analysis and Construction Project Management, among others in the Transportation Engineering discipline.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering and an earned Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (Transportation Engineering) or a closely related field. Applicants must demonstrate 1) a creative vision for and an ability to pursue original and independent research, 2) a strong commitment to teaching at graduate and undergraduate levels, 3) the ability to collaborate with others across disciplinary boundaries and 4) the ability to mentor graduate students. Additional duties will include service to the university, local, national and international communities in advancing the mission of the University.
