The School of Engineering at the University of North Florida (UNF) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Civil Engineering at the Assistant Professor level, commencing in 2023 with the start date of August 2023. An earned Doctorate in Civil Engineering, or closely related field is required and a specialization in environmental engineering is preferred. Candidates with a professional engineering license or ability to secure one within 2 years are desired.
Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated professional or research experience in groundwater, coastal resilience, environmental systems or sustainable infrastructure. A commitment to excellence in teaching and research, as well as the development of an externally funded research program, will be expected of the successful candidate. Experience with the Florida specific environmental issues is a plus. Collegiality, active service and participation in governance in accordance with the vision and mission of the school, college and university are also expected.
