The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Lassonde School of Engineering at York University invites inspiring teachers to apply for two (2) Sessional Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream positions in Computer Engineering and/or Software Engineering. These are Contractually Limited Appointments (CLA) to the teaching stream for three-year terms commencing January 1, 2024.

Candidate Qualifications:
• PhD or PhD near completion by the appointment’s start in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering, or a closely related field is required.
• A record or evident promise of excellence in teaching and dedication to students (e.g., teaching statement, teaching accomplishments and pedagogical innovations, including in high priority areas such as experiential education and technology enhanced learning, teaching evaluations, and strong letters of reference).
• The successful candidates will be expected to serve as Course Instructors for upper-year courses in i) Computer Engineering (including computer organization, embedded systems, electrical circuits, electronic circuits & devices, signals & systems, digital logic design, digital/mobile communications), and/or ii) Software Engineering offered by the Department, (including data structures, object-oriented programming, operating system fundamentals, and software design).
• Candidates must hold, or be eligible to receive, a Professional Engineering license in Canada soon after appointment.
