We are looking for M.S. and Ph.D students who are interested in innovative environmental remediation, bioremediation, novel wastewater and water treatment, and conversion of waste to biofuels and bioproducts. Particularly, the graduate students (full-time graduate research assistants) will work on a couple of research projects sponsored by U.S. Department of Agriculture which will be novel environmental remediation (biochar/biocarbon-driven remediation, bioremediation, phytoremediation) for enhancing water quality, microbial pathogen control, soil health and greenhouse gas control in agricultural systems.

Available topics include: 1) Preparation, characterization and applications of surface-functionalized biochar for controlling nutrients, chemical and biological contaminants in soil and water, 2) Fate, transport and transformation of contaminants in various biochar-added agricultural system, 3) Understanding of biochar-microbes-plant interactions for environmental sustainability, and 4) any relevant topics would be available.

We are hiring M.S. students in environmental science, soil science, agricultural science, chemistry, biology and any other relevant disciplines through environmental science program at Tarleton State University.

We are also hiring Ph.D. students in biological engineering, agricultural engineering, chemical engineering, environmental engineering and other relevant disciplines through Texas A&M University. Besides, we will hire one Ph.D. student via fellowship program which are limited to only U.S. citizens and permanent residents.
