The Gordon and Jill Bourns College of Engineering at California Baptist University, an evangelical Christian university affiliated with the California Southern Baptist Convention, invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position in Mechanical Engineering.
A PhD in a related field is preferred, although candidates with a master’s degree who are either working towards a terminal degree or have significant industry or research experience may be considered.
The successful candidate will be expected to embrace the mission of California Baptist University, and develop evidence of a clear understanding of, and commitment to, excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service through the integration of Christian faith and learning.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a wide range of courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level within the Aerospace, Industrial and Mechanical Engineering department. The selected individual must demonstrate effective communication skills, and will engage student learning in both lecture and laboratory environments. The candidate is also expected to supervise graduate research projects and undergraduate capstone design projects, support curriculum and program development, conduct student outcome assessments, provide academic advising to students, and work with industrial partners.
