Postdoctoral Research Associate/Scientist Position at UT Dallas – Control System Desing
A postdoctoral research associate/scientist position is available for joining an established interdisciplinary research group based in the Laboratory for Dynamics and Control of Nanosystems at the University of Texas at Dallas. This project is funded by Department of Energy and aims to investigate control problems related to high-throughput atomically precise manufacturing systems.
The project will involve developing models for micro-machined scanning probe devices and high-precision control system design for highly resonant MEMS devices. The applicant should have a strong analytical background, be familiar with advanced control design methods and have had experience with real-time control implementation for laboratory or full-scale mechatronic systems. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in a host of theoretical and experimental projects, supervise graduate and undergraduate researchers, write reports and manuscripts, attend international conferences, prepare proposals and work closely with collaborating groups.
The applicant should have (or be close to completing) a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field. The position is available immediately and includes a competitive salary and fringe benefits package. Interested applicants should contact Dr. Reza Moheimani at Reza.Mohiemani@utdallas.edu with a detailed CV including a list of publications and names and contact details of three references.
